Julie Cox
I have been working at Ilfracombe since 2002 as a part-time receptionist, married with 2 teenage children. I have 2 dogs, one being a rescue from the Dogs Trust, 2 cats, 2 gerbils that were left at the surgery about 5 years ago and a middle-aged goldish who seems to be living forever! My hobbies are art - I enjoy painting pet portraits and houses; going out and about with the dogs, and travelling.

I am the "hidden face of Argyll Vets". As the Practice Administrator I run the office, payroll, accounts etc. I have been here since 2001 and have seen how the practice has developed into something quite special. It is a very friendly place to work and I see day to day how hard everyone works with the animals. I have a dog that I "met" here at the practice. Misha was a Dogs Trust dog and came in to be spayed. When I saw her lying in the kennel, it was love at first sight!!!!! We think she is a Bichon Frise with a bit of Poodle in her. I like to dabble in amateur dramatics and am the Secretary of Braunton Productions, we produce a musical at the Queens Theatre every July. I also love the sea and bodyboarding but don’t seem to get the time to go very often.

I have been with the practice since 1999, I am receptionist and auxiliary nurse. I enjoy my job, we are like one big happy family, no two days are ever the same and you meet a wide variety of animals and their owners. I have 1 horse and 2 miniature Shetlands, 1 collie, 5 cats, 2 rabbits and a hand reared pet pigeon!I hope to start breeding the Shetlands in the next year or so. My main hobbies all involve the horses. I've just recently bought a cart and have started driving with one of the Shetlands.I also try and ride my horse as much as possible.

I’ve been a receptionist here since 2007. My hobbies are gardening, and long walks with a very naughty border terrier. I like nothing more than relaxing in my garden after a long day at work, with my family and a nice long cool glass of white, while secretly filling in the holes Hunter the border terrier made earlier, to hide them from my husband!

I've worked at Argyll since 2002. I've done a lot of nurse training but these days I mainly work on reception because I love meeting people and their pets. I'm a farmer's daughter married to a farm manager and can often be found in the milking parlour at 5.30am before coming to my day job! I have a menagerie of dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs and various other pets, as well as 3 small children, so I don't have any spare time!
Steph Lees
Hi, I’m Steph and my role at Argyll is as a nursing assistant. I help the nurses and vets whenever and wherever they need me, and I am responsible for making sure the ‘behind the scenes’ area is always clean, to make sure there is no infection risk for our patients. My ambition is to be a great nurse. I love my animals and I love caring for other peoples’ animals.
Zeah Henderson
It has always been my ambition to work with animals and it's great to do so with such lovely people. I work on reception at Roundswell. I love meeting all of our clients and their animals and hearing about all their crazy antics! At home I have a rabbit called Roxy and a cat called Pepsi. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and going horse-riding when I can.
Dawn Barnett
Dawn works on reception at Roundswell with Zeah. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and border collie Billy. The three of them also do a lot of Agility training in Bideford.
