bulldog_pupsHere's a picture of some bulldog puppies delivered by Caesarian section today. Caesarians are one of the nicest operations we do; everyone in the surgery gets very excited as it is 'all hands on deck' to revive puppies. Tia had 4 today, but we sometimes deliver 10.....they come out very rapidly one after the other, and each one has to have individual attention to make sure it can breath unaided, then it is cleaned and has it's umbilical cord tied. It's a bit like spinning plates! The front of the surgery becomes like the Marie Celeste, while the operating theatre is a maelstrom of activity......even Julie our Administration manager gets roped in sometimes!

Personally I think there is nothing more adorable than a bulldog puppy....I know they are not to everybody's taste but how can you look at these and not go ahhhhh.......
