The joys of spring!

Rachel, one of my colleagues, showed me her arm the other day, covered in bite marks. After pausing to show sympathy in time-honoured veterinary fashion (I laughed), I asked whether they were caused by a cat or a dog. 'Neither - rabbit!' she replied.

It was a reminder that rabbits can get very hormonal in the spring and this can make them aggressive. This isn't pleasant for rabbit or owners (or vet!) and is cured by neutering - which makes them happier and can also prevent cancer in later life.
